Our Story

Since 2023

At one time, I found it either extremely hard or intimidating to publish my own book. I use to go on YouTube and watch videos about the subject matter or simply read up online about how it is done. Needless to say, it was an overwhelming experience. As time went by, I began to realize that if you wanted to write books then you needed to know not only how to write them but surely how to layout a book as well.  Being not so much an avid reader, I began visiting book stores in neighboring areas just to study the structuring of books in every genre i.e. those of a fiction and non-fiction title. 

In time, I learned and began to apply this knowledge to my very own writing projects. After the final chapter was written and the book had finally been completed, I began to realize that finishing the novel was simply just the beginnings of the long drawn out tedious process that goes into publishing a book. The lacking of experience with writing a novel had not only diminished what little of confidence I had in my writing skills, it had caused me to wonder if whether or not I should even exaust my limited resources to hire an editor, proof-reader and lastly a publisher. And even then, if I were to ever go that route in doing this, I realized that this would not guarantee that my book get picked up by a major publishing house or earn me a publishing deal with perhaps a cash advance towards future sales for writing such an awesome book.

What I needed at that time was surety but with writing, there’s no such a thing. So rather than taking a chance with someone else to publish my book, I saw an opportunity to take a chance on myself just to see where it might get me. 

I know those of you reading this anticipate to read further on to hear about a predictable success story that begins to unfold as you glance over these digital pages of words but this story does not end like that. In fact, the story that I give you is still unfolding as I speak to you and you formulate your own thoughts, based upon that of which I  have given you to up to this very moment. (OTGO)

However; as to it occurring, I decided the best way to fix such an undesirable predicament was to publish, market and promote my own book(s).  In doing so, I helped myself to grow to the point where now I am confident enough to help, aid, assist and promote other up & coming new authors.

And speaking of promoting, I am soon to share with the world, exclusively on this platform, one of three fictional novels of which one I made reference to earlier when I spoke on setting out to learn how to structure a book. 

Writer’s Block Publishing Company is for the fearless authors. At 56, I still dedicate my life to excercising that of a creative mind and set out to create a platform for the creators of content to channel their creative energy.  A room in house I use for office space, sought out and attained a company investor to invest in WBPC and now I spend resources to get the business up and running. I still have yet to write a #1 best seller which might provide  a “means to an end” but ENDINGS ARE JUST THE BEGINNING of endless meanings that comes by way of writing and sharing your dreams.
