When Writing Becomes A Cumbersome Task

Take a break and return to your work later with a fresh perspective. Write smaller pieces or sections without worrying about the order or structure. Make a character tree or introduce your main character to a new developing scene just to get them creative juices flowing again. Last but not least, try adding a new element or twist to your plot, such as bringing in a third character to change the dynamics of the story in an effort to bring you from out of what seeming appear to being writer’s block.

Read & Write Consistently!

Read books in your genre or read literature about writing to get inspired. Talk to a friend or a professional writer to get the adequate feedback or support you may very well need to get back to plowing further along in writing your book.

Just freely write without overly worrying about judging or editing your ideas when jotting them down on paper. Write consistently and you will begin to notice them moments of writer’s block come less frequent, far fewer & in between you and your writing.

Writing a book can be a daunting task, but it’s important to remember that your book doesn’t need to be perfect. It just needs to be written.

Again, take a break  from writing because, in doing so, it can help you come back with fresh ideas and renewed energy.

If you’re stuck on one part of your book, try writing something else like a short story or a blog post.

Sometimes changing your environment can help you get unstuck.

If all else fails, just KEEP WRITING!
